His palms are sweaty; knees weak, arms are heavy. There's vomit on his sweater already: mom's spaghetti.
He's nervous, but on the surface he looks calm, and ready to drop bombs. But he keeps on forgetting
what he WROTE DOWN the WHOLE crowd GOES so LOUD; he opens his mouth but the words WON'T come OUT.
He's CHOKing NOW, everybody's JOKing NOW. The clock's run OUT, time's up, OVer, BLAUW
Snap back to reality, Oh there goes gravity Oh, there goes Rabbit, he choked
He's so mad!
ugh, running in real life is harder than on the treadmill! :P :)
damn you, jinkeez!
So I just log on while watching 8 mile and have to read this?
Criminy, the gym was so hot tonight (not in the good way!). Looked like a wet broom when I finished.
This morning on the track a woman was walking her puppy. It tried to nip me! I was like WHOA NOW
I'm falling way behind, but only because I had to move my brother. That counts as like 6 miles, right?
I guess it depends on whether you moved him by picking him up bodily and carrying him, or just plunked him down on a little red wagon and towed it along.
Every time I go for a jog, I think about how if there was a zombie apocalypse and they were fast zombies like in the Dawn of the Dead remake, I'd be totally doomed!
That's why I always keep an eye out for stray rebar I could wield!
If tonight's run was a movie, it would be Joglander II: The Chafening.
The sequel to that movie is called Body Glide: The Crotch Strikes Back
you know you're a runner when you have a stick of Body Glide labeled "BUTT"
I woulld pay good money to see that movie.
BUTT, smoke?
Running hills in the heat is kicking this ass.
Woo-hoo! Not last place.
damn, i'm falling behind. cursed jazzercise taking up my time!
Actually I meant BodyGlide movie. I've seen BUTT, the cinematography is gorgeous, but the soundtrack is terrible.
heh
i also enjoy discussing butts

i know peeps have brands in profile, but what shoes do you actually run with? I love my Adizeros
I've got an oooooold pair of Nike's I run with. Don't even know the model. Wife got me Nike Free 3.0 for Christmas but they chew up my arches so I can't ware them. Looking for new shoes now as my current pair are about done.
I'm trying a pair of asics trabuco trail shoes I got for cheap from sierra trading.
For short runs, I use my Nike Free 3.0s; for anything longer than a mile or so, I switch between the Nike Free 5.0s and a pair of Asics; I don't know what model the Asics are, except that they are yellow.
The guy at my running shop put me in Asics Gel Kayanos a few years ago and I've been using them ever since. Probably due for a new pair soon, actually.
I upgraded from blocks of granite to Nike Airspan 4s a few years ago (before I even owned an iPod thing). It's probably time to go to Marathon Sports.
I run roads in Mizunos (Inspire 4 and Renegade 3) and trails in NB (I don't know what model - black and yellow)
does anyone have any trail shoes they love?
yikes. thawed runs a lot.
yikes. thawed, you run a lot!
i am king of the double post!
for the record this is my warm-up month. just wait until june, y'all. :D
oh hai, thawed.
yo.
Man, this is a lot more people than the January challenge.
If our mileage were our heights, and I were the same height I am now, thawed would be ten and a half feet tall. A GIANT!
Oooh, I moved up temporarily. I'll enjoy it while I can.
I believe in that scenario I'd be about a foot and a half tall, Greg.
It would be fun to look at this graph on its side.
Do walks with my parents while they were visiting count? 'Cause then I wouldn't be so far behind.
Firmly in the middle of the pack. Story of my life.
Think of yourself as the filling in the sandwich. Mmmmm Sandwich.
Today at the gym, the treadmill broke partway through my run. I was like, "YEAHHH, I BEAT THE MACHINE"
I like it Greg! Unfortunately the machine beat me. Damn you hip flexors! Damn you to hell!
Is thawed the Terminator?
True story one time I was driving and thawed was chasing me and her hands turned into giant claws and she climbed up the back of the car and I was like DAAAAMN
Woo, doing my first 5k ever today (actually, a little over 5k since it's 3.5 miles!)
Quick tip: while being chased by a terminator, remember to turn on nike+ thing so I can log the miles after dropping the terminator into the molted metal pool.
Best of luck, DiamondGFX! And to brian, if the T-1000's after him.
grr @ knee strain taking me out 10 days
Hope the knee's feeling better! I think I got some food poisoning a few days ago. I was making noises like HLURR
It was bad for my running, is what I am saying.
I feel you nonmerci, taking a little r and r myself.
Bolder Boulder! So awesome!
I was also on the bum knee train this weekend: thwacked it hiking. Screw you, injury, I'm running anyway!
My current place is as bronze as my beautiful Greek skin.
My current mileage is as 61.29 as my beautiful Greek nose.
First time at my new gym today. It was... muggy.
Phew, moved house this week, ready for more running back at work next week, huzzah!

doh, sorry, on dial up now, aka double post city
Those of you who have some sort of pedometer logging you milesis it worth it to purchase such a thing?
er, *your* miles
mandyman, I love my Garmin 305 (bday present) but before I had it I just tracked my runs after the fact on gmaps.
to be more specific, I just traced my route to see how long it was and logged it in Excel.
I use RunKeeper on my iPhone. It's really good, so much so that I ponied up the cash for the pro version. It's more accurate than the Nike+ I had before.
The June challenge is up. Come on in, the water's fine!
YAY!
