Tonight's run would be Blister Act 2: Back in the habit*
Tonight's run would be Blister Act 2: Back in the habit* *Not really, I just like making bad movie running puns. As should we all.
sorry dial up, yada yada. Sigh
way to go, smoke, great first day!
WOO SECOND PLACE
NOT FOR LONG, SUCKER!
WOO FOURTH PLACE
Strong start, dang. Even though it's 90 degrees, I'm going tonight.
Hey, tomorrow is apparently National Running Day. At least for the Americans.
I'm looking forward to National Running Man Day. I have often thought about attaching some leds to my shorts and singing Figaro, a la Dynamo.
Tomorrow is National Another Novella By Richard Bachman Day. I'm going to re-enact The Long Walk.
hey all. just joined up, and backfilled my runs from monday and tuesday. hope that's kosher. just started running last month, so i think this site is great. nothing like internet competitiveness to prevent a good habit from going south.
Loads of great starts. Damn, this is going to be a tough month!
Greg, I just want to applaud that pun. It was beautiful, and I think it changed both of us.
Thawed you irascible little scamp, you don't have anything to worry about, having seemingly had your hamstrings replaced by inexhaustible pistons that run on nothing more than pure Britannia and a whiff of bully beef.
After a +/-12-month hiatus back into it again, meanwhile also lost my iPod control dexterity causing me to miss at least 15 extra Ks from being on the record :( Just so you know and be warned!
(I keed, I"ll be pleasantly surprised if I manage to achieve smoke's 40.8 topping the current chart by the end of the challenge)
Hey everyone: DID YOU KNOW that I sweat a great deal? It's TRUE!
Damn. I am a sweaty monkey.
Holy crap. I'm in 3rd?! Me, plodding back-of-the-packer? We are in the Bizarro world.
Ha, pony style, that run was as large and demanding as Marlon Brando.
That run sounds like me!
ohhhh, foot was very sore after last night's run, hope it's okay...
My wife just laughs at me when I come inside after I get done running. I can't sit down for at least a half hour or I leave a big sweat puddle.
This Wednesday was the Corporate Challenge race at my work! I won the medal for "Most passive-aggressive e-mails to Accounts Payable"
This morning's run was a toxin purge from last night's meetup.
Hi there I was invited here by Smoke in response to my plea to help me get back the joy of running. Did a nice one this morning so here I am!
Wooo! Welcome LyzzyBee! I myself will be taking a short sabbatical whilst I figure out what's wrong with my foot balls.
Damn, I accidentally took a week off. But managed to get a run in between thunderstorms - yay for radar maps.
I'm about sick and tired of this damned knee. Thawed, can you recommend a good cybernetic supplier?
I hear Skynet's doing some amazing things with PUNY ORGANIC HUMANS these days.
Ha ha, I'm also having knee troubles. Turns out listening to Dragonforce on a run can only go badly...
I trade your knee for my foot! On the bright side, in the words of my man Fatone, "Back Street's somewhat gingerly Back! All right!"
Sorry to hear about all the injuries. I'm hoping my orthotic balancing out my leg length will make me feel more secure this year. Working so far
I pulled something in my neck! That's not really a running-related injury, though.
Does anyone have the Nike Lunar shoes? I kinda want them; I'm such a sucker for things that look like they come from a Kubrickian future.
Being on vacation in the mountains is fun, but falling behind in the Mefi June Distance challenge is not fun.
Think of it as an inverted pyyamid, you're getting closer to the top!
Is there one of these challenges every month? I've enjoyed taking part in this one but would like to start one from the start next time!
Oh heck ya we better have a July one!
You know what, I'm really encouraged by being a fair way up the list - so thanks again for inviting me over here!
July challenge is up!
I don't know how far the challenges go back, but I think I've done every one since January '08...
and I was damn proud of the 30 miles I put in that month too!
Yay -might help me to DO the 5 mi speedwork I've got to do tomorrow in the (for the UK) heatwave! Going out super-early...
Well done everybody! Thawed, you are clearly Artemis in disguise. Glad I'm not a deer.
Huzzah for June!
Indeed. Plutor and I were the median Mefi runners this month.
