I know that the total mileage for a month can be seen, but is there any place on our profile where all of our miles added together are shown?

Yes, as swampythang says, it's right there on your profile page, beside "Totals:"

Weird. The only thing I can think of is that you should check your settings (Control Panel > My Settings). Some of those options (for instance in the Options or Charts tabs) will affect what shows up on your profile.

I manually input my runs too, and the aggregate gets updated on my profile, but maybe if you've never used the Nike+ system at all, it doesn't know how to start the running total. But that seems like a bug that would have been ironed out early on. Have you tried e-mailing Chris about it?

If you go into the control panel and go into setting.   Under charts, if you uncheck "hide run data", it should appear on your profile. I think :-)
