If you go to the page for your challenge, click on Join, and that should bring up a current roster, organized by team. Click on the team title of your choice, and that should do it. Looks like 8 people have found their way to a team so far.

When you host a challenge it does a bit of a funny. When u say you want to be host and challenger it puts you in the challenge but not in a team. You need to withdraw and then join the team of your choice like pothead says. Oh sorry, I mean potatohead! (Freudian slip?)
