Ive noticed on my runs my knee, shin, and quads will occasionally start to tingle and go numb as if its fallen asleep. Anyone know whats going on? I was thinking its nerve related. Anyone ever heard of this happening ever?!

FWIW, if you are having nerve problems, I don't think a chiropractor is the best choice to evaluate.

What did your doc say? I have found that shoes and socks can be too tight even if you don't think that they are. I had a great sports med doc who gave me an assortment of stretches and exercises to do because I was sitting wrong at my desk and it was causing my posture to be off slightly (couldn't see it with your eye). I would over compensate during my runs and injured myself. If you can find a good sports doc who use to be an athlete be sure to keep him/her.

My wife has been having issues with this recently, as well. I'd be curious of the outcome of the visit to your doctor.

have had same thing....was over compensating and caused all sorts of tweaks! my ri-athlete sports doctor was not a help, but my chiropractor was..she uses a non-manipulative form of chiropratic...a tool that pops you all over the place to realign (i forget the name right now) i bought new shoes, after having soemone atch me run and make proper suggestions, and hip pain, leg tingling has all gone away.

I pinched a nerve in my back in January, and while one of my legs was a bit numb, it was subtle enough that I didn't notice it until my physical therapist tested for it. I did, however, have no trouble noticing the shooting pain that prevented me for walking correctly for a bit. =)

So my guess is that you may be having oxygen issues, but I'd certainly get this checked out by a doctor.
