There should be no problem safru, as long as both of the runners had already linked their sensors with their respective recievers. I had done it in the past and problem at all.

My understanding is that they should each be sending at a unique frequency, so no problem. Now talking to each other may be a differnt issue. Also, nice avatar.

My friend and I run together often, each with our Nike+iPod kits. The first time we walked far away from each other to link the sensor, didn't want to accidently Link. But since then we run together, calibrate together. Never had any issues.
