srp says:I used mine yesterday for the Broad Street Run in Philadelphia. It was really inaccurate - only logged about 8.5 miles for the 10 mile run.
On the other hand, I had my ipod going too (even though they were "banned"), and it logged a little MORE than 10 miles (about 10.35, and I started it at the start line, not where I was lined up, which was significantly back - took 10 minutes to reach the start line).
I can't figure out the calibration of the sport band. With the ipod, one calibrates an individual sensor and it stores the calibration for that particular sensor. The Sport band can be calibrated, but the process doesn't tell you what it's doing. I have used three different sensors with it, and have tried to calibrate it but I don't know if it stores individual calibrations. I wonder if it can be "hacked" to see what's actually stored in the memory of the Sport band...
I liked having the sport band though; I could keep it set on PACE and monitor that without having to press the button on the ipod.
Sadly my IT band decided to act up in a big way and I had to walk about 2/3 of the race.
