I just got one and have tested it. It uploaded the runs to existing my Nike+ account just fine, and they were then synched to Runner+ without problems. I also paired it with two existing sensors without any problems (I haven't actually used the sensor that came with it yet).

I mainly got it because of the "no headphone" rules that some races are instituting. Theoretically you could use the iPod w/o the headphones ("no music option") I suppose.

Accuracy seems comparable (so far) to what I was getting with the iPod but I haven't checked it thoroughly.

Mine charged while my laptop was "sleeping" without any problems. One complaint I have: The downward curve of the usb sensor makes it necessary to "prop up" the edge my laptop so that the device doesn't get bent when it's inserted into the computer (I'm using a MacBook).

mkimes, thanks for the s/w info.

srp, glad to hear it syncs fine. That's a bummer about the curve of the USB dongle. They should have designed it so it goes the other way around!

srp, you could always get a short USB extension cable, I got one with another product where the cable element was about 2 inches long which has made hot swapping a number of devices a lot easier.

I have had my for about two weeks now and I love it. Plus it doubles as a decent watch. Too bad in a month or so they are coming out with what I think is call the Flight + and this one will be the "old" newest model. Great gear! no complaints yet.

I used mine yesterday for the Broad Street Run in Philadelphia. It was really inaccurate - only logged about 8.5 miles for the 10 mile run.

On the other hand, I had my ipod going too (even though they were "banned"), and it logged a little MORE than 10 miles (about 10.35, and I started it at the start line, not where I was lined up, which was significantly back - took 10 minutes to reach the start line).

I can't figure out the calibration of the sport band. With the ipod, one calibrates an individual sensor and it stores the calibration for that particular sensor. The Sport band can be calibrated, but the process doesn't tell you what it's doing. I have used three different sensors with it, and have tried to calibrate it but I don't know if it stores individual calibrations. I wonder if it can be "hacked" to see what's actually stored in the memory of the Sport band...

I liked having the sport band though; I could keep it set on PACE and monitor that without having to press the button on the ipod.

Sadly my IT band decided to act up in a big way and I had to walk about 2/3 of the race.
