I have signed up (saved my spot) since day one. I will run in Sao Paulo and looks like it is NOT the same route we used to run on Nike Run Americas. They say on the website "Run across the bridge over the Pinheiros river". It will probably be across the new (beautiful) suspended bridge in Sao Paulo, the same we ran on Sao Paulo's Int'l Marathon this month.



Interesting that they say registration will open June 16th but it is still not open! Good start, huh? LOL!!

The first D.C. training run is this Thursday (6/26) at 7 PM. We will meet at the corner of 23rd NW and Lincoln Memorial Circle (Lincoln Memorial). Refreshments will be provided along with tons of raffle prizes!

I have signed up for the Sao Paulo edition a couple of weeks ago. I am sad it will not cross the river through the suspended bridge though... The race course will link two of the most popular training places in town, the University Campus (USP) and the Villa-Lobos park. We will cross the river through the Cidade Universitaria bridge towards Panamericana square and then run Afranio Peixoto avenue towards Villa-Lobos park and then back.

This will be my first 10k run in 17 years. The beauty of the situation is that I have to go to Boston for a Christening that weekend, so I'll have to run it in an area that I am unfamiliar with. Nothing like making a challenge more challenging!
