Hi there and welcome to running - it's great and you can start off small and achieve great things in the end. I managed a half-marathon last year and if anyone had told me that a few years ago I'd have laughed at them!
Hey all, I just read plutor's comment in Mefi with a link to this place. I've been pretty consistently running this year, both on the trail and on the treadmill, but I'm running my first 10K next month and want to get in as much training as possible between now and then. I have no excuses, there's miles of river trail starting three blocks from my front door and when it's raining the YMCA is literally 1.5 blocks away.
