I'm new here, so I might be repeating something that has already been mentioned. Will Garmin be friendly to this site since they already own Motionbased.com which has all the bells and whistles asked for by us and it is also free? The only thibg you get extra by paying is their analysis page and more than the last 10 workouts stored for immediate call back.

But, I must say that having both the N+ data plus GPS data is nice. What I'm looking forward to is downloading routes to my 305 so that when I visit other parts of the country, I'll know where to run.

Well, I got my Forerunner 305 last week and used it for the first time today (though x-country skiing, not running). I hope Garmin integration can be made possible soon!

In my personal opinion, I would like to integrate forerunner 305 and nike+ as follows:
1) Distance and pace from nike+
2) Heart rate and routes (view - share - import - export) from to forerunner305 (as per MotionBased)
Consider the people that use treadmill and when you run in the depht of the wood. Just to have a route (even if inaccurate) it's ok (second case) but no way for pace/speed.
At the end the forerunner is great to add to nikeplus heart rate and route!

R+ will definitely not be a replacement for MotionBased, but it will allow you to view your pace data much like you can with Nike+. As for the advanced features (heart rate, for example), that will come eventually to R+.

Hi Chris,

I purchased a 305 in December, so you can add me to the list of potential (and eager) beta testers too.

Chris, I'll be happy to help if you need grunt work done on deciphering data file fields and the like. I've been using the 305 for a couple years running and windsufing and plenty of data to play with.

Hi Chris, I was so glad to hear that you are R+ is developing support for the Foreruner 305. I can't wait to start uploading data into it. Any news as to when you will be able to launch it? I'm very eager to test it out and start uploading data into it. Cheers!
