I know that Nike and Runner+ are great web based logs but a PC based software to log your runs is a always welcome.

I found several paid softwares that are OK, others great such as runners studio...however...I'm looking for a free one.

Surfing the web I bumped with sports tracks - www.zonefivesoftware.com/SportTracks - a great program.

I'd like to hear from another runners...

In Sportstrack I couldnt figure out how to view detailed charts (like pace etc) of one activity. I only saw summary charts. Anyone?

If you are using a Mac, I recommend giving TrailRunner a try. It is a beautiful Mac desktop application that allows you to keep track of your training logs. It also does some sort of GPS mashup, but I have not tried that yet. It does work automatically with the iPod too. It is donate-ware so if you do not donate anything it will keep asking you for donations, although it will still work if you don't give anything. It also has training schedules and events if you need them.

I've used nikerunning.com, creating a training schedule based on distance and level(beginner, interm, expert). Then you can download the schedule and use your outlook to remember the workout. Then when you have time, you just need to sync the ipod and the website will be updated automatically. Also, there's another info like shoes, pace, weather, HBR, ...

flix123...in the tab that is written "summary" you can see an arrow that shows you other data of the marked activity like pace, splits, elevation, workout and cycling.
I think this have answered your question.

Sport Tracks can give you all the data that you need. Works great!
To get the details you want...click the little down arrows on the top right of the different windows inside the app... Not a normal menu option, but once I figured that out, I loved it.
