Why am I doing this? Well, a good friend of Shannon's who works at Hurley with her asked me if I would sponsor Shannon's team. Knowing that Shannon is the sweetest girl in the world who does everything for everyone, I gladly obliged. Additionally, this friend at Hurley told me that certain people at the company were bribing Shannon's team members to move from Shannon's team to theirs! The nerve of some people! Something had to be done.

Anyway, this race/challenge is for an awesome cause and Shannon is such a beautiful person. Seriously, if you knew her, you would just want her to win - I've never met someone so kind. Therefore, I'm willing to do my little part to help her! If this also motivates people to run and joint his awesome cause, even better.

Hope you are all well! Because Nike's nikeplus.com website is acting-up, we were just informed that the Hurley Nike+ challenge will end tonight at midnight!!! This is definitely unexpected - we thought we were going to have until Saturday. Anyway, what this means is that we have to do everything we possibly can to sign-up users before midnight PST tonight. Remember, it's not the # of miles that count, it's the total # of user sign-ups that help!

All of you have been a great help in this challenge, and we're asking for one last push from you. I know many of you already have or will be receiving prizes from us thanks to your support during this challenge, and to make sure you know, we are also giving $1 to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation for every user sign-up across the board (for some users we're giving $5). Additionally, we've agreed to give to some other charities/organizations in a $1 to $1 match separate from the above.   Overall, we're giving to 4 different charities/groups. This combined with the fact that the Human Race is a 100% of proceeds to charity event makes this an amazing charitable challenge!

Lastly, we'll be giving out 3 additional Nike/Hurley packages tonight (some big ones!) for those who help refer the most members to Shannon's team. Just keep track of who you sign-up! As you know, I am doing everything I can for Shannon during this race and don't want to quit when we're so close. We're actually in 2nd place right now, and I really don't want to let Shannon down. Note: ignore the nikeplus.com website because it is acting up now - it'll be fixed soon.

I did it too make sure people as many people as possible do this. If they follow through it will be nice cheap way to make some money for some charities.
