I'm trying to add some friends to the new and improved Nike+ website. It's a hassle though to find someone's name or email address. If you wanne get your friends list going at nike+ leave your name (screenname) in the comments!

Don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to lure you guys away from the Runner+ website. I still use this one as my main tracking site! Would be nice to have the runner+ community on Nike+ as well.

You can add me as: RichardLemon

Thanks!

So it seems the new Nikeplus site is still a disaster. Still only limited to runs recorded with NikePlus, still unable to manually add, etc. Much, much worse, is that they have simultaneously abandoned syncing with the old Nike Training Log. I have years worth of data there (thank god much of it is also here, except for the stuff that I entered manually), and so am looking for a site that has that kind of functionality. I love the community here at RunnerPlus, but also need a site just for tracking. Preferably something that syncs with NikePlus, that allows me to add categories (walks, hikes, etc) allows me to add things manually, name routes, track shoes, etc. I am even willing to pay (moderately) for a good site. Any suggestions?

@MarkedMan: try RunSaturday.com. It has all your requirements and it's free!

dailymile.com is also not bad and a step up from Nike+.

The new Nike+ site is beta (which is where it is likely to stay knowing NIke). It is poorly laid out and not consistent in how pages appear.

None of them though have the ease of use of R+ though I accept that some (RunSaturday being the obvious one) have significant more features.

Re new Nike+ site, agree with MarkedMan. I don't see any improvements at all. Nike should have definitely linked/merged their Nike+ site with their Nike Training Log (which is a decent site for serious runners).

Re DailyMile, great presentation but very beta. I've corresponded with one of the developers, about the lack of any training log import, inability to manually post runs by date (have to click through a calendar by month), and inability to manually post any run older than one year. These are all important for any of us who would transfer from one site to another. (Reply was hope to have import feature, and date entry.)

Re RunSaturday.com, looks promising. Can import all from Fetch and RunningAhead, and can manually enter date freefold (e.g. 02 Jul 1997).

The most important thing about running and storing run data, is the ability to SEE the data again. Correctly that is. On the Nike+ site the run is 'averaged' and very inaccurate.
When I read about the new site, I went HURRAY it has been changed! NOT.
Here at runner plus I can see where I slowed done, and picked up the pace again. On Nike+ I see a very useless chart. If Nike would improve on that, it would be so much better.
The data is there. But the visualisation of it is, well... Pfffff.
