I wouldn't be surprised if it's Nike blocking you accessing their site - just like Microsoft used to block people using Apple's Safari browser from accessing their sites. They are probably annoyed that you have produced a much, much better site for deaing with Nike+ data than their own rubbish site. Good luck with fixing it and many thanks for producing this site - it really is far superior to the official Nike+ site.

This happened to me. I believe that this happened when NIKE changed the website to Nikerunning.com. Try updating the newer version of I Tunes. This will stop the problem. It did for me anyway. Good Luck!

Chris... I did notice that the site "www.dailymile.com" is able to access the nikeplus data and sync. I don't know if this would help you in figuring it out. I don't care much for that site, but just wanted to let you know that they fixed the same problem.

Chronic, unfortunately Nike changed their entire authentication scheme for accessing your data, so this is becoming quite a challenge to resolve. If anyone has any insight, please contact me. Until then, I will continue to do it the hard way.

The widget is not supported on Vista, yet. Also if you have an iPhone 3G S or an iPod Touch with Nike+ support I doubt the widget will work either since (unlike iPods) you cannot use the iPhone as a hard drive so the widget will not find the data. I have the iPhone 3GS but I haven't tested the Nike+ functionality yet--wondering how anyone would get their data off those devices...

I have managed to get the widget working on Vista, I had a directory called ipod_control on the C drive, I removed that and connected the ipod as a hard drive (plug the cable in and hold the middle button and bottom of the click wheel for about 5 seconds) and then clicked the widget and it loaded.
