We provide two ways to synchronize your Nike+ iPod run data with RUNNER+. This page describes how to install
and use the desktop widget. If you would like to synchronize your data directly with your Nikeplus.com account,
To sync your data from your desktop, we provide a desktop widget available for both Mac and PC.
Once installed, it is available anytime on your desktop. Just click the "Sync" button and your run data on your iPod Nano will be instantly
sent to your RUNNER+ account. iTunes and your Nikeplus.com account are bypassed entirely.
System Requirements:
• Mac OS X 10.3.9 and up
• Windows XP SP2, 2000 SP4
• Note: Windows Vista support is coming soon
Upgrading:
Before upgrading to the latest version of the RUNNER+ Desktop Widget,
be sure to completely uninstall any previous version(s).
Installation:
Step 1
Download and install the Yahoo! Widget Engine available for
Mac OS X and
Windows XP.
This is required to run the RUNNER+ Desktop Widget.
At this time Windows Vista is not supported.
Step 2
Download and install the RUNNER+ Desktop Widget
directly from the RUNNER+ website to always get the most current version. Alternately,
you can get the widget from the Yahoo! widget library,
however we recommend you download the widget from our site so that
you are sure to get the latest version. Note: this is the same download for both Windows and Mac.
Step 3
Once installed, RUNNER+ will appear in your Yahoo! widget dock as shown to the right.
Click the RUNNER+ icon in the Yahoo! widget dock to reveal the desktop widget itself
(shown at the top of this page).
Step 4
Control-click (Mac) or Right-click (PC) and select "Widget Preferences..."
This will load the Preferences window and allow you to enter your RUNNER+ account information:
Step 5
Connect your iPod Nano to your Mac or PC.
Step 6
Start iTunes (if it isn't started already).
Select your iPod Nano under the DEVICES section to the left.
On the Summary tab make sure that "Enable disk use" is checked.
If this option is disabled (grayed out), don't be concerned as long as the checkbox itself
is still checked.
Now click the Apply button. Then you may close iTunes at this point,
as it is not needed for synchronization, however you must leave your iPod Nano connected.
Step 7
Locate the RUNNER+ Desktop Widget and click the "Sync" button.
Within a few seconds your run data will be sent to your RUNNER+ account and be
ready for display.
When synchronization is complete, the widget will display a "Last sync" date
and type at the bottom of the widget. Now you can visit RUNNER+ by clicking the
logo at the top of the widget or navigating to www.runnerplus.com in your browser.
Step 8
Go for another run! When you return, hook your iPod Nano back up to your Mac or PC and just click
the "Sync" button on the widget. You can sync your run data any time you wish, as often as you wish.
