RUNNER+ was launched in May 2007 and is now home to 4,619 runners from 89 countries. The growth of this social networking website for runners has been fantastic and continues to amaze us.

As a free service to its members, many of you have asked how you can help. We've had offers for PayPal donations, wishlist donations, and more. The response has been amazing, and we can't thank you enough.

What we'd really like is for you to help promote RUNNER+. We want nothing more than to see RUNNER+ grow. There are many different ways to do this, so we thought we would make a list for anyone that is interested.

1. Use our Invite a Friend feature to invite someone to the site. While this isn't any different from you emailing your friend directly, what this feature does is it increases your "accepted invites" count on your public profile page which shows our community that you are actively helping out!


2. If you belong to a running club that has a newsletter, an email list, a website, or frequent meetings, be sure to mention the benefits of RUNNER+. Perhaps set up a group for your club and then use the group's invite feature to bring everyone to the site.


3. Create a challenge and promote it through the challenge's invite feature. You can create a specific challenge based on a wide number of options, such as age, pace, distance, calories, gender, country, and more. Why not create a challenge for your local running club? It's so easy.


4. If you belong to other fitness/running forums, add a link to your RUNNER+ personal profile in your forums signature. You might also want to post a new topic in their forums, letting everyone know about RUNNER+ and the benefits of joining this community.


5. If you run a blog, please blog about RUNNER+! Then let us know you did so we can link back to you on our links page.


6. We have a wide range of apparel and other fun products at our RUNNER+ merchandise store. This is a service provided by CafePress, where they perform all of the order processing and shipping for us. We have not marked the prices up for any of these products. The cost shown at their site is the lowest cost available. We make no money off this store, with the thought being that if the prices are low, you will consider buying something and help promote RUNNER+ by using the items you buy.
