Just to say that I am relatively new to your site and think it is absolutely brilliant. I use the Nike sportband and since discovering your site I no longer use the Nike site at all... yours is far superior. It offers far more motivational tools and i recommend it to anyone I know!

Thanks for the work you've done to organize and run this site. I especially appreciate the family/community feel of it. You've made it very easy to encourage other runners without sacrificing the raw data needed to track progression.
I also like the way that members can contribute to the "shape" of the website through groups and challenges. It keeps the content and interface from getting static.
I hope you're able to catch a glimpse once in a while of the way this website is making a difference mentally, physically, and emotionally for the runners who use it. You're having a measurable impact on people's lives.
Finally, I have to say: How cool is it to have your own website preferred to Nike's? I often read that comment in people's posts, and my brother-in-law echoes it all the time.
I think what you've tapped into is that community is more important to a runner's continuing success that just raw data and pretty graphics. Numbers don't get me up and running in the morning. The people who stop by to check on me and post words of encouragement do.

I'm on Runner+ and on the slow and not runner-friendly Nike+ site.
Thanks to Chris and Mike who created Runner+, I have become a runner!
I started out as wanting to be a great race walker and then became addicted
to running and doing well in challenges. Runner+ introduce me to such great
people from around the world too, you have to love that.

Just thought I'd drop a note to tell you hi and thanx for putting this site up. It's great.
I upload my info via iTunes on N+ but then come directly here to see my progress and check
up on my friends and fellow runners.
The community aspect is really nice and your site loads way faster than N+.

Thanks for making the site. What I like best is its interactivity, its simple layout and superior features (like detailed charting, downloading of raw data), extensive control panel settings, etc.

I just joined today and I just wanted to say how impressed I am with what you've got going here. I've been a Nike+ user for a year now (~650 miles) and really like it but have found it to be disappointing as I get to my longer runs as I gear up for the NYC Marathon (very frustrating). I love the startup feel and the Flickr/Twitter/Jaiku integration! There's been a dire need for a running community like this that leverages some of the stuff that's going on now tech-wise and so far this is looking awesome.

The Nike+ website is good, but it leaves one hungry for much more. That's why I have been using Runner+ as my go-to place for doing more than casual analysis.

I have only been on the site for a few minutes and already I am finding it a whole lot better than the Nike+ website I am use to.
I love that you can increase/decrease the detail on the graphs of each run, as the graphs supplied by Nike do not have near enough
(I think anyway). I am only just getting back into the running myself, completing my first half marathon in June, with my next
scheduled in about 3.5 weeks from now. Training is currently at full blast and I'm sure this site will give me the inspiration
to keep on going!

One of the best running sites so far. If you have a N+ kit and an Ipod, sign-up now. Why so great? Fast, accurate, with neat graphics. Do you have an issue, an adivice, a request? Contact the staff and explain yourself...you'll be listened and answered in a snap! ;-) And you can even win a shirt ;-D

RUNNER+ is miles ahead of the Nike+ site (which isn't too shabby itself). The level of detail in the graphs is amazing, and best of all, it can pull all your data from the Nike+ site and keep it synced.
Give it a go.

RunnerPlus is a great example of a social network that has nothing to do with teens, geeks, predatory shagmongers or venture capitalists. It’s handsome and clean and lets runners post their training logs, shout encouragement, form clusters and so on. The crowd is international and at this point does not seem infected by product pimps. Coolest bit of tech : the runners’ logs. Click on the slider at the bottom for some pointlessly cool but understated animation.

I just wanted to say, great job! The site definitely adds more value than Nike's site. I'm just now getting back into running after taking 8 years off and the Nike+ has given me a lot of motivation.

You have a very good idea, I'm very happy to be at this place.
I starded to run two years ago and day after day I stopped to play football and I dedicated all my free time to run.
Now I feel better and my mind like my body are more free.

I think the site is awesome and works fine. The synch function worked like magic and I am relieved to have a backup of my training data somewehre else! Thanks for that! The charts are way cool, and I appreciate the pace one greatly, as it shows if I am walking any faster, and that is not available at Nike+. Please keep up the awesome development work. I look forward to interacting with RunnerPlus and you in the future.
